MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – The medical center is starting three new construction projects to enhance the appearance, security and safety of the medical center and provide additional parking spaces for patients and staff.
Main Gate: The main entrance gate, off of Route 9, will be closed to outgoing traffic for approximately 30 days starting September 23. During the construction period, traffic will depart the campus through the Baker Street exit. This exit is adjacent to the swimming pool, at the intersection of Avenue C and 6th Street.
Main Parking Lot: 50 new parking spaces are being added to the southeast side of the patient parking lot in front of the main hospital. During the construction period, 25 parking spaces will be temporarily blocked off to establish a safety perimeter. Patients and visitors are asked to use parking lot “O”, across from the HOPE Center, for overflow parking during the construction period. The estimated completion time is October 30.
Impound Lot: The impound lot, at the end of parking lot “O”, will be relocated. Approximately 50 new parking spaces will be available for patients and staff in the “O” parking lot once the compound lot relocates. Estimated completion date is October 28.
Visitors and patients are asked to use caution and follow all posted construction traffic signs.
