Harrisonburg VA CBOC to hold grand opening ceremony

November 14, 2013

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – The Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and Valor Healthcare Inc. invite Veterans, families and friends to a grand opening ceremony at the Harrisonburg contracted Community Based Outpatient Clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 10:30 a.m.

The new 15,000-square-foot clinic is located within the Rockingham Square Shopping Center at 1755 S. High St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801. One of the clinic highlights are the Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT) – which provide accessible, coordinated, comprehensive, patient-centered health care delivered by primary care providers with clinical and non-clinical staff. The clinic also provides local Veterans with mental health, women Veterans health services and various telehealth services.

“The new Harrisonburg CBOC currently serves about 3,300 Veterans in the area with their health care needs and offers primary and specialty care services,” said Timothy J. Cooke, acting medical center director. “The dedicated, caring and compassionate staff at the clinic and I are committed to providing Veterans with the best health care.”

Veterans and their families in the Harrisonburg area are encouraged to attend the ceremony and learn about the services offered at the new clinic and VA health care benefits. For more information about the grand opening ceremony contact the Martinsburg VAMC Public Affairs Office at 304-263-0811, ext. 4013.
